William Paul Conner, 72, of Burghill, passed away Friday evening, December 20, 2024, at home with his family by his side.
He was born January 28, 1952 in Tarentum, PA, the son of William T. and Lois I. Lukehart Conner.
He was a Navy veteran serving from 1969 to 1973. He then worked at Taylor Winfield from 1973 to 1979. In 1979 he went to Dean Dairy, retiring in 2014.
He attended the Fowler Community Church.
He loved to spend time with his family. He enjoyed trains, his mustang cars, Matchbox cars and the Steelers. He was happy tinkering in the garage and mowing his grass.
William married his wife, Donna Swick Conner, on December 7, 1974. They just celebrated their 50th anniversary.
He is also survived by three sons, William “ Bill” (April) Conner of Cortland, David Conner of Hartford and Steven (Aeriole) Conner of Rootstown; three grandchildren, Leah, Matthew “MC” and Wyatt Conner; two brothers, Victor (Barb Walsh) Conner of Vandergrift, PA and Michael (Rebecca) Conner of Apollo, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Peggy Sue Deemer; grandparents, Paul and Violet Lukehart and aunts and uncles, Betty Cutlip, Linda Klingensmith, Ronald and Robert Lukehart.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in William’s name to Patriot Hospice, 986 Tibbetts Wick Rd., Girard, OH 44420.
Friends and relatives may call at the Fowler Community Church, 4651 St. Rt. 305, Fowler, OH 44418 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2024. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Joel Dickson officiating.
Burial will be in Westview Cemetery.
