Vance George Wonderly, Jr., 90, of Burghill, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 3, 2025 at home surrounded by family.
He was born January 17, 1935 in Butler, Pa., the son of Vance G. Wonderly, Sr. and Daisy Lewis Wonderly.
After working 30 years at General Motors in Lordstown, he retired as a repairman. He had also worked at Castle Rubber Co. in Butler.
He was a Navy veteran serving as a cook.
Vance was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Vienna.
Vance is survived by his wife, Emily Moon Wonderly, whom he married July 1, 1958; two daughters, Sherry Mizicko of Orlando, Florida and Eileen (Mark) Ocheltree of Kinsman; a son, Vance G. (Barbara) Wonderly III of Franklinton, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Beatrice Welch of Butler, Pa. and Carol Bohr of Austintown.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Geraldine, Marceda, Bonnie and Vivian.
Friends and relatives may call at the Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford 44424 on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 10 a.m. to noon. The funeral service will follow at noon with Pastor Gary Meikle officiating.
Burial will be in Westview Cemetery in Vernon.
