Stephen Dale McAlister, 77, of Fowler, passed away Sunday evening, December 8, 2024, at Hospice House in Poland with his family by his side after a short battle with cancer.
He was born July 6, 1947 in Greenville, the son of George and Goldie Montgomery McAlister.
He was employed at Stanwade Metal Products in Hartford for over 60 years. He was the current vice president of transportation.
Stephen was a member of the Fowler United Methodist Church.
He was a man of simple pleasures. He liked to work, be with his family and ride his bike. He also liked to be a jokester.
He was an Army veteran serving in Germany in 1966 to 1968.
He is survived by his wife, Regina Woofter McAlister, whom he married October 18, 1968; a daughter, Roxanne (Chris) Liscio of Fowler; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey and Haley Smith, Nicholas and Jacob McAlister, Natalie (Connor) Grenier, Christopher (Sydney) Liscio, and Meghan (David) Gonzalez; and two great-grandchildren, Avriella Franklin and Lucy Liscio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James McAlister and two brothers, Lee and Lon McAlister.
Friends and relatives may call at the Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown Kingsville Rd., Fowler OH 44418 on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The funeral service will follow at noon with Rev. Jonathon Williams officiating at the church.
