Roger S. Strouse, 87, of Hartford, Ohio, passed away on July 4th at home peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
Born on June 11, 1939 in Henderson Township, Pennsylvania, to Glenn and Mary Sprague Strouse. Roger was the youngest of twelve brothers and sisters.
He honorably served his country by being in the Army and proudly served his church. A man of unwavering faith whose love for Jesus Christ guided his life. He cherished his church family and found great joy in worship and fellowship.
Though his earthly journey has ended, his loved ones take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior.
Roger leaves behind his loving wife, Alma Knapp Strouse, whom he married September 2, 1962, along with his children Allan (Colleen), Bob (Michelle), and Doug and extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, six sisters and five brothers.
Friends and family may call at the at the Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford on Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Joe Eckmeyer, pastor of the Family Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Hartford Township Cemetery.
A luncheon will be served at Family Baptist Church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Family Baptist Church, 1348 Niles Cortland Road, Warren, OH 44484, in Roger’s name.
