Rick Allen Rufener

Rick Allen Rufener, 63, of Houston, Texas, peacefully passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020.

He was born December 14, 1956 in Vernon, Ohio, the son of Elmer and Edna Louise Stevens Rufener.

In 1981, he moved to Houston and married Brenna on February 12, 1982.

Rick enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  After retirement, Rick enjoyed playing with his grandkids and spending the summers in Ohio with his family.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Brenna Rufener; sons, Brandon Rufener (wife, Brandi) and Shaun Rufener; grandkids, Toby and Paisley Rufener, all of Houston, TX; sisters, Bonnie Carrier, Donna Conner (husband, Bill) and Debra Kelly, all of Burghill, OH.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, David and Bill.

Friends and relatives may call at the Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford, OH on Friday, August 28, 2020 from 4 to 5 p.m.

The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Joel Dickson officiating.

Burial will be in Wesrview Cemetery, Vernon, following the service.
