Richard C. Collings, 75, of Kinsman, passed away Saturday morning at his home surrounded by his family and cats.
He was born October 14, 1946 in Enderby, England, the son of Ralph and Edith Hames Collings.
Richard came to America in 1978. He became a citizen in 2012.
He worked at Great Lakes Cheese as a bulk cheese handler. He retired in 2012.
He was a member of the Vernon United Methodist Church.
Richard liked to watch NASCAR and NASCAR fantasy. He liked playing computer games and golf. He enjoyed watching, playing, coaching and refereeing soccer games. He loved his cats, Desi Lou and Max and mowing his grass.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jane Louise Garlock Collings, whom he married December 31, 1977; two daughters, Anna and Ed Buydos of Southington and Christine Howles and boyfriend Gerry Nicholas of Vernon; two sons, Jason and Brandy Collings of Wayne and Mark and Rachel Collings of Vernon; and six grandchildren, Sadie, Hunter, Aidan, Parker, Weston and Riley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Celia and a twin brother, Charles.
At his request, there will be no services for Richard.
