Reta Marie (Winans) Mizner

Reta Marie Mizner, 90, of Kinsman, passed away at home on Monday, August 24, 2020.

She was born November 15, 1929 in Cortland, the daughter of Aylmer and Marie Daugherty Winans.

She had worked in the cafeteria at the Vernon Elementary, at Aim Leasing and at Palmer Accounting.  She also sold Tupperware.

Reta was a member of the Vernon United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed Cross Trailers Square Dancing, sewing, crocheting, knitting and needleworking.

She married Merle Keith Mizner on May 27, 1950.  He preceded her in death on November 14, 1998.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Mizner of Houston, TX and Margaret (George) Harvey of Andover; four sons, James (Paula) Mizner of Cortland, Thomas Mizner of Albuquerque, NM, Gary Mizner of Greenville, SC and Jeffrey (Merrie) Mizner of Tampa, FL; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-two great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Harley, Rowland and Carl Winans.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 525 North Broad Street, Canfield, Ohio 44406, in her name.

Friends and relatives may call at Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford on Saturday, September 5, 2020 from noon to 1 p.m.  Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.

The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jason Hockrin of the Andover United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Westview Cemetery, Vernon.
