Patricia Joyce Valesky

Patricia Joyce Valesky, 95, of Jamestown, PA, passed away at home on Tuesday morning, October 7, 2025.

Pat was born April 5, 1930 in Andover, OH, the daughter of Clyde and Emma Siekkinen Holsing.

She married her high school sweetheart, Robert J. Valesky, on September 3, 1949. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2021. They were blessed with four sons and 71 years of marriage.

She worked at Valesky’s Supermarket in Meadville.  She went in to help after her two sons, Robert and Garth, bought the store.  She continued to help until she retired in 1996.

She and Bob were wonderful dance partners, enjoying many evenings of ballroom and square dancing. They also enjoyed taking cruises and playing cards, she being less competitive than he.

She loved her horses.  She was a great baker, making the best pies, according to Robert. And she played the violin and the piano.

Since childhood, Pat was a very active member of State Line Church. For the past several years she would say, “the best is yet to come,” and because of her faith in Christ, her best has now come.

Pat is survived by three sons, Robert J. (Jean) Valesky, Jr. of Edinboro, Mark K. (Christine) Valesky of Westerville, OH and D. Garth (Paula) Valesky of Meadville; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and a very special niece, Nora Mack, who was her caregiver for the past year.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ronald W. Valesky and a brother, Richard Holsing.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the State Line Church, 263 West State Rd., Jamestown, PA 16134.

Friends and relatives may call at the church on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 10 to 11 a.m.  The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul Csonka officiating.

Burial will be in Stateline Cemetery.
