Merlyn Triplett Obituary

                    Merlyn “Toody” Triplett, 94, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away Monday afternoon, April 5, 2021, at Mt. Carmel East in Columbus.

She was born October 7, 1926 in Newton Falls, the daughter of George N. and Lena Lucille Treash Smith.

She retired from G.E. Lamp Plant in Warren where she worked assembly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph P. Triplett, whom she was married to for 63 years.

She was a local Republican Party volunteer and served as a pole worker.  She enjoyed collecting books and antiques and spending time with her grandchildren and her dogs.

Toody is survived by a daughter, Catherine (Dan) Holley of Pleasantville, Ohio; two sons, Randy Triplett of Charlotte, N.C. and Hossein (Sima) Tabatabaie of Virginia; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, one being Ron Smith, and close friends, Sharon and Wayne Farnsworth.

Friends and relatives may call on Friday, April 9, 2021, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford, Ohio.

The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Gary Meikle of the Hartford Community Church officiating.

Burial will be in Sager Cemetery in Bristolville.

Masks are required and social distancing practices will be observed.
