Margaret Ann “Peggy” Taylor, 87, of Hermitage, PA, formerly of Orangeville, OH, passed away Sunday evening, December 14, 2025, at Concord Care of Hartford.
She was born April 24, 1938 in Sharon, PA, the daughter of John and Roszemma Phillips Taylor.
She was a 1957 graduate of Hartford High School
She retired after working 23 years at Eat & Park in Hermitage as a prep cook.
Margaret was an active member of the Hartford Community Church. She also belonged to the former Hartford Grange 1479.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her longtime companion, Fred Carnes; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Phillip Samuels and Sarah “Betty” and Frank O’Connor; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Ethel Taylor and Edward and Frances Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions may be made to the Hartford Community Church, P.O. Box 38, Hartford, Ohio 44424, in Margaret’s name.
Friends and relatives may call at the Galloway Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford, Ohio on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 1 to 2 p.m.
The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 2 p.m. with Pastor Gary Meikle officiating.
After cremation, burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage, PA.
