Lee B. Popovich, 88, of Orangeville, passed away Friday morning, March 21, 2025 at the home of her daughter.
She was born January 18, 1937 in Orangeville, the daughter of Charles and Mary Gilliland Williams.
Lee worked at Boyd’s Kinsman Home eighteen years as a habilitation instructor.
She had been a member of the Orangeville United Methodist Church. She was part of their women’s group and was the pianist for the church choir.
On February 9, 1957, she married Nick Popovich. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2024.
She loved music, playing the piano, playing cards with her family, going to sporting events of her children and grandchildren and going to Pittsburgh Pirates baseball games.
She is survived by two daughters, Sheryl (Donald) Belanger and Brenda (James) Stemock, both of Orangeville; a son, Nicky T. (Dionne) Popovich of Cortland; eight grandchildren, Noelle, Ashlee, Gabrielle, Erich, Bryson, Nicholas, Alexa and Aidan; seven great-grandchildren, Killian, Kingsley, Lucy, Sullivan, Langston, Calvin and William; a sister, Carla Williams of Orangeville and a brother, Peter B. Williams of Hermitage.
Lee was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Timothy Williams.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations be given in her name to Boyd’s Kinsman Home. P.O. Box 315, Kinsman, Ohio 44428.
