James K. Beers

James K. Beers, Jr., 74, of Burghill, passed away Thursday evening, August 12, 2021, at his home under the care of Hospice.

He was born August 30, 1946 in Kittanning, PA, the son of James K. Beers, Sr. and Goldie Carl Beers.

He was a Navy veteran, serving in the Vietnam era.

In 2001, after working 30 years, he retired from Delphi, where he was a maintenance supply supervisor.  He also retired from Hartford Township where he was a road superintendent.

Jim enjoyed camping, dirt track racing and working in his garage fabricating in metal.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Wright Beers, whom he married June 1, 1968; two daughters, Melissa (Michael) Bridge of Hartford and Andrea (Butch) Smith of Youngstown; four grandchildren, Brandon (Alicia) Moore, Taylor Jones, Daniel Smith and Mackenzie Smith; and two sisters, Betty (Terry) Streightif and Brenda (Doug) Farman, both of Kittanning.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Maryanne, Patricia and Susan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, Ohio 44512.

At his request, there will be no services for James.
