Georgia M. Hunter

Georgia May Hunter, 91, of Kinsman, passed away Sunday morning, July 3, 2022.

She was born June 29, 1931 in Kinsman, the daughter of Lila Gilmore Underwood and Kenneth Underwood.

Georgia started working at the Tea Room in Kinsman at 14. She worked there for five years before going to AR Myers Store, also in Kinsman.  She stayed there for six and a half years before she became a mother and homemaker.

She married Theodore James Hunter April 20, 1957 and was married until his passing in 2007.

She was a member of the Kinsman United Methodist Church and attended the Burghill Baptist Church in later years.

Georgia is survived by three sons, Dean (Camille) Hunter, Dennis (Barbara Barry) Hunter and Dwayne (Jennifer) Hunter; five grandchildren, Michelle Young, Tim Hunter, Theresa (Eric) Hartman, Courtney (Justin) Voss, Rachel (Adam) Lamer; six great-grandchildren, Madison and Gavin Young, Hailey Hunter, James and Jackson Hartman and Edie Lamar; a brother, Robert Wahl; a sister, Diane Siewert; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marsha and Larry Linville.  She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.  She had a close relationship with her niece, Wendy English.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Theodore Hunter; three sisters, Rose, in infancy, Donna Osborne and Virginia Keesler; a brother, William Wahl; and her Aunt Carrie, who was more like a sister.

Friends and relatives may call at Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford on Friday, July 8, 2922 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. MaryAnn Rufener officiating.

Burial will be in Westview Cemetery in Vernon Township.
