George M. Gerasimek, 88, of Transfer, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 31, 2026, at St. Paul Homes in Greenville.
He was born March 29, 1938 in Cadiz, Ohio, the son of John and Josephine Kruczeski Gerasimek.
After working 35 years at Packard Electric, he retired in 1994 as an artos cutter. George also retired as owner/operator of Gerasimek Tree Service.
George enjoyed hunting and growing things, such as flowers and vegetables.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Mott Gerasimek, whom he married May 7, 1960; a daughter, Georgia Lynn (Dan) Randolph of New Town, PA; four sons, Gary Lee (Deanna) Gerasimek of Transfer, Gregory N. (Chikako) Gerasimek of Transfer, Glenn A. (Melodie) Gerasimek of Transfer and Michael (Becky) Gerasimek of Greenville; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ann (John) Dodds of Hermitage; three brothers, Leo (Janet) Gerasimek, Paul Gerasimek and James (Janice) Gerasimek , all of Sharpsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Robert, Frank and Edward Gerasimek.
Friends and relatives may call at Galloway Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford, OH on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 1 to 3 p.m., with the funeral following at 3 p.m.
Burial will be in Hartford Township Cemetery.
