                                            Ernest R. “Rick” Bakos Jr.

Ernest Richard “Rick” Bakos Jr., 56, of Vernon Township, passed away at his home Monday, May 7, 2018.

He was born June 27, 1961 in Warren , the son of Ernest R. Bakos Sr. and Patsy Bradley Bakos.

Rick was a graduate of Badger High School. 

He drove for J&B Transportation in Kinsman. He was a truck driver all of his life.

He enjoyed NASCAR and woodworking.

Rick is survived by two sons, Stanley “Bud” Bakos of Akron and Pressley “Rex” Bakos of Fowler; his mother, Patsy Bakos of Vernon Township; two step-daughters, Kasey Elser of Kinsman  and Stacey Elser of Athens, OH; a brother, Adam Bakos of Kinsman; a step-granddaughter, Charlotte Elser ; a niece, Kate Carville and a nephew, Brett Bell.

He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Elizabeth Bakos and Toye Bell.

Family and friends may call at Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford on Friday, May 11, 2018 from noon to 1 p.m.

The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ron McIlvaine of the Vernon United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Westview Cemetery.
