Eileen Louise Edeburn Baxter, 92, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2025, at U.P.M.C. Horizon Farrell Hospital.
She was born February 19, 1933 in Sharon, the daughter of LeRoy and Merle Holcomb Edeburn.
She was a 1951 graduate of Vernon High School.
Eileen belonged to the Orangeville Methodist Church.
She worked as an X-ray technician in both San Francisco and Sharon, PA. She also worked in the libraries of the Joseph Badger School District.
She loved Scotland, traveling there five times. She even learned how to play the bagpipes.
Eileen was very proud of her family and heritage. She loved to tell stories about it all.
She loved flowers and the color purple.
She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Baxter, whom she married April 9, 1955; a daughter, Shari Baxter of Burghill; a son, Brian Baxter and his wife, Maxine, of Spring Hill, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Sean and Ella Baxter; and a brother, Gary Edeburn, of Clear Lake, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Carole Ann and her half-brother, Raymond.
Relatives and friends may call at the Galloway Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford, Ohio 44424, on Monday, November 3, 2025, from noon to 1:00 p.m.
The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ron McIlvaine of the Orangeville Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Hayes Cemetery.
