Dorothy M. Stuart

Dorothy M. Stuart, 97, of Fowler, Hartford Township, passed away Sunday evening, December 17, 2023, at Armstrong Memory Care Assisted Living in Champion.

She was born October 27, 1926 in Fowler, the daughter of George and Nellie Scott Sigler.

She was a graduate of Fowler High School.  Dorothy was a homemaker belonging to the Hartford Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Hartford O.E.S. #518.

She married Ralph Stuart on December 27, 1949.  He preceded her in death in January 2007.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna M. (Chris) Colbrunn of Vienna; three sons, Dennis T. (Janet) Stuart of Cortland, James F. (Darlene) Stuart of Seale, Alabama and Richard P. (Lynnette) Stuart of Chagrin Falls; nine grandchildren, Tracey, Sheila, George, Todd, Tim, Jenna, Jacob, Linsey, and Ryan; eleven great-grandchildren, Molly, Jackson, Owen, Greyson, Spencer, Caitlyn, Joe, Annie, Gina, Michael and Lexi; four great-great grandchildren, Autumn, James, Sophia and Logan; and one sister, Laura Bailey of Kinsman.

Dorothy was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Glenna Hall and Cora; and three brothers, George, Don and Dewey Sigler.

Private services were held for Dorothy.  Rev. MaryAnn Rufener officiated. Burial was in Hartford Township Cemetery.
