David Frank Scharba, 74, of Fowler, passed away Saturday morning, December 7, 2024, at his home.
He was born January 21, 1950 in Sharon, the son of John Scharba Sr. and Dorothy Jones Scharba.
He worked 30 years at Packard Electric as a harness cutter.
David belonged to the Conneaut Moose #472, the VFW #7599, the American Legion Conneaut Ohio #151 and the Cortland Conservation Club.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. When he wasn’t hunting or fishing, he enjoyed watching the deer and turkey on his property.
He is survived by two daughters, Traci (Josh) Wolff of Stow and Christine (Eric) Gaus of Sharpsville; a son, Kevin (Elaina) Scharba of Kane, PA; two step-sons, Geoffrey (Janet) DeMay of Girard, PA and David DeMay of Masury; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol Waldron of Warren and three brothers, Metropolitan Antony “John” Scharba of Somerset, N.J., Richard (Carla) Scharba of Kinsman and Todd Scharba of Orangeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ronald and a granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Down Syndrome Association of the Valley, 945 Boardman Canfield Rd., Unit #12, Youngstown, Ohio 44512 in David’s name.
At his request, there will be no services.
