David Helberg III

David Helberg, 25, of Transfer, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Health Center after being in an accident Sunday.

He was born April 6, 1999 in Greenville, the son of David Helberg II and Melissa Brady Helberg.

He graduated from Reynolds High School and MCC as a machinist.

He was a foreman for G. S. Kusich Construction.

David loved the outdoors.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He enjoyed riding four wheelers. He loved spending time with his family and friends but most of all spending time with his son.

He is survived by his mother, Melissa Helberg and step father, Steven Frantz of Transfer; his fiancee , Jordyn Trott and his son, David Helberg IV, both of Greenville; two sisters, Katelyn Riley of Transfer and Danielle Riley of Mercer; two brothers, Kaden Frantz and Steven Frantz Jr., both of Transfer; and maternal grandmother, Robin Showman and paternal grandmother, Theresa Helberg , both of Orangeville.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Helberg II; grandfathers, David Helberg I and Ernest Brady; and uncles, Joey and Ernest Brady.

Friends and relatives may call at Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford, Ohio 44424 on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 4 to 6 p.m.

The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. MaryAnn Rufener officiating.
