Cletus L. McElrath
Cletus “Dee” Louise (McDonald) McElrath was reunited with her husband on October20, 2018 at the age of 93.
Born December 7, 1924, Dee was the daughter of Fred and Maude Freed McDonald. She lived her entire life in Hartford, Ohio.
She married Earl Edward McElrath June 28, 1947 and together they lived a humble life, loving and taking immense pride in their family.
She was a member of the former Hartford Grange 1479 and was a charter member of the Hartford Community Church where she was involved in numerous church ministries and served as president of the Ladies Guild for many years.
Surrounded by the love of family, she passed away at her home after a short illness and stay in Sharon Regional Medical Center.
Cherishing her memory are two sons, Donald (Sue) McElrath of Brimfield and Gary (Lisa) McElrath of Brookfield; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Mahoney of Olympia, WA, Kristina (Patrick) Cupples of Garrettsville, Harley McElrath of Forest City, NC, Cory Stillion of Brookfield, and Rich (Michelle) McElrath of Brimfield; and great-grandchildren, December, Colin, Cameron and Logan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers and their wives, George and Betty McDonald and Robert and Doris McDonald.
Friends and relatives may call at Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The funeral service will be on Thursday, October 25, at 11 a.m. at the Hartford Community Church, 3312 St. Rt. 7, Hartford, with Rev. Gary Meikle officiating.
Burial will be in the Hartford Township Cemetery.
