Carabelle Scott Morris, 91, of Burghilll, passed away in the comfort of her home on Wednesday evening, June 11, 2025.
She was born March 2, 1934 in Fowler, the daughter of Ernest Stewart Scott and Alta Louise Marsh Scott.
She was a member of the Orangeville Baptist Church.
Carabelle raised eight children. She also worked as a kitchen aide at the old Cortland Quality Care Nursing Home in Cortland and was employed at the old Valley View Department Store in Brookfield.
She had a tradition of going to breakfast every Tuesday at Times Square in Kinsman for the last 25 years. Any of her family and friends were invited to join her.
She is survived by her husband, William Paul Morris, whom she married June 26, 1953 in Burghill. She is also survived by her children; Gary (Marie) Morris of Kinsman, Danny (Lisa) Morris of Colorado, Brenda (Carlos) Antolin of Washington, Betty (Mark) Burley of Howland, Scott (Valarie) Morris of Virginia, Carol (Robert) Peterson of Johnston and son-in-law, Phil Stanhope of Kinsman; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; her twin sister, Isabelle Powell of Kinsman and sister, Flora Jane Tyndall of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Donna Marie Stanhope and Terry Bryan Morris and his wife, Cheryl; siblings, Ernest Scott, Alice Scott and Annabelle Scott Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959 in her name.
Friends and relatives may call at the Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford, OH on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Harley Williams officiating.
Burial will be in the Hartford Township Cemetery.
