Barbara Hegedus

Barbara Hegedus, of Cortland, Ohio, passed away Saturday afternoon, March 18, 2023, at Trumbull Regional Hospital.

She was born October 7, 1940 in Sharon, PA, the daughter of John and Mary Chrash Fecik.

She graduated from Trumbull Business College and went to work for Wollam Chevrolet.  She retired from there as the office manager.

Barbara was a member of the Twin State Auto Club.

 She and her husband went to local racing to NASCAR races.   She was a great Earnhardt fan.

She married George Hegedus in November of 1961. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2005.

She is survived by a brother, John (Stephanie) Fecik of FL; a brother-in-law, Frank Swetlich of West Middlesex, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Donna Swetlich.

Family and friends may call at the Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford, OH on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 1 to 2 p.m.

The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ron McIlvaine of the Orangeville United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Vienna,OH.
