Janet M. Morrison
Janet “Jan” M. Morrison, 78, of Brookfield, passed away Friday morning, March 1, 2019, at O’Brien Memorial Health Care Center, Brookfield.
She was born February 8, 1941 in Hartford, the daughter of Joseph and Fern Fry Fowler.
She retired from the Helping Hands Preschool at the Hartford Community Church where she was a teacher for 25 years. She was also owner/operator of the Patchwork Corner.
Janet was a member of the Fowler United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She also taught 4-H sewing for over 20 years.
She enjoyed sewing and crafts.
She married Gerald R. Morrison on November 27, 1959. He preceded her in death on April 22, 2010.
She is survived by a daughter, Shauna (Steve) Wilson of Delaware; four sons, Todd (Susan) Morrison of Liberty, Martin (Millie) Morrison of Brookfield, Chris (Jo) Morrison of Kona, HI and Matthew Morrison of Kinsman; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Kennell of Brookfield and Milli Wilcoxson of Cuyahoga Falls; and a brother, Allan Fowler of Green Valley, AZ.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a grandchild, Brenton Morrison; a brother, David Fowler; and three sisters, Dorothy Thompson, Margaret Ball and Florence King.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the memorial fund of the Fowler United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 8, Fowler, Ohio 44418.
Friends and relatives may call at the Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford 44424 on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from noon to 2 p.m.
The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. MaryAnn Rufener officiating from the Harford United Methodist Church.
Burial will be in the Hartford Township Cemetery.
