Ila G (Clark) Whitmore

Ila G. Whitmore, 91, of Burghill, Hartford Twp., passed away Saturday evening, April 7, 2018, at her home due to a fire.

She was born July 28, 1926 in Hartford, the daughter of Ivan L. and Grace L. Cozad Clark.

She was a Hartford High School graduate.

Ila was a homemaker.  She had worked for five years as a clerk for Blue Cross of Youngstown before she married and later in the ladies department of Valley View.

She enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre.

Ila was preceded in death on August 18, 2010 by her husband, Garfield “Bill” Whitmore, whom she married on July 22, 1950.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra Lynn Cole of Burghill and Diana Sue Addicott of Hubbard; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren and a sister, Velma L. Whitmore of Anderson, Ind.

Friends and relatives may call at Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford, on Friday, April 13, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.

Burial will be in Hartford Township Cemetery.
