Gail R. Longwell
Gail Rae Longwell, 65, of Burghill, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 10, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness.
She was born October 18, 1953 in Masury, the 16th child of Oscar and Della Dignall Swogger.
Gail attended Brookfield schools.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening and working in her yard. She especially enjoyed tending to her roses.
Gail was a Christian and was a member of the Hartford Community Church and also attended New Life Community Church in Vienna.
Gail is survived by her husband, James E. Longwell, whom she married September 4, 1971; her children, James (Amy) of Florida and their daughters, Emma and Gracie; Jason (Keri) of Hermitage and his children, Courtney of N.C. and Colton of Burghill; Jeffery (Sunnie) of Hubbard and their children, Ashley, Alysa, Britney, McKinley and Bronson; and a great-granddaughter born November 7, 2018, Abriana.
Gail also leaves her six brothers and seven sisters who will cherish memories of her. They are Oscar, Buster, Gary, Carl, Rick, and Jeffery Swogger and Betty Felicetty, Bessie Horvath, Shirley Wittnauer, Karen Boyer, Carol Mathey, Georgianna Shingledecker and Dolly DeVito.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Art, George and Howard; and two sisters, Alice and Nancy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the memorial fund of the Hartford Community Church, P.O. Box 38, Hartford, Ohio 44424, in her name.
Friends and relatives may call at the Hartford Community Church, 3312 St. Rt. 7, Hartford, on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. and from 11a.m to noon on Thursday, November 15, 2018.
The funeral service will be at noon on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Hartford Community Church.
Burial will be in Hartford Township Cemetery.
