Patsy Dell Bakos

Patsy Dell Bakos, 89, of Kinsman, passed away at home on Monday evening, May 22, 2023.

She was born February 15, 1934 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of Alfred M. and Edith Drymon Bradley.

She met her future husband, Ernest R. Bakos, while he was stationed in the service in the south.  They married on August 12, 1953 and he brought her home to Vernon where she lived until she passed away.

 After raising her family, she worked at Adgates in Kinsman and the Kinsman library.

She belonged to the former Vernon United Methodist Church.

Her husband, Ernest R. Bakos Sr., preceded her in death on May 21, 2012.

She is survived by a son, Adam (Jennifer) Bakos of Kinsman; seven grandchildren, Kate (Jesse) Bell-Carvill, Stanley and Presley Bakos, Brett (Megan) Bell, Elizabeth and Jeremy Roski and Lawrence Bakos; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Bradley of Bescom, Florida.

She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Elizabeth Bakos and Toye Bell; and one son, Ernest R. “Rick” Bakos Jr.

Friends and relatives may call at Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford, on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Brett Sabella from Hospice officiating.

Burial will follow at Westview cemetery.
