Joseph R. "Randy" Woofter, Sr.
Obituary
Joseph “Randy” Woofter, Sr., formerly of Hartford, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing at Canal Pointe in Akron.
He was born April 12, 1964 at Fort Benning, Georgia, the son of David and Mary Hunkus Woofter.
He was a graduate of Badger High School and The Ohio State University with a degree in animal husbandry.
He worked at the family farm, Rob-Da-Ran Dairy.
Randy was a member of the Hartford United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed being around his “Kids”; listening to 80’s metal music, especially KISS; and bowling.
Randy is survived by two daughters, Tianna Woofter of Parma and Cassidy Woofter of Leavittsburg; a son, Joseph R. Woofter, Jr. of Pittsburgh; his mother, Mary Woofter of Youngstown; and a sister, Tina Woofter of Youngstown.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Woofter.
Friends and relatives may call at the Hartford United Methodist Church, 6846 St. Rt. 305, Hartford on Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to noon. The memorial service will follow at noon with Rev. MaryAnn Rufener officiating.
