Harold William Siekkinen

Harold William Siekkinen, 86, of Williamsfield, passed away Friday night, August 7, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born August 16, 1933 in Conneaut, the son of William and Helen Arkilander Siekkinen.

He was owner/operator of Siekkinen Packing in Williamsfield for 38 years.  After retirement, he was a courier for Andover Bank.

Harold was a member of the Williamsfield United Methodist Church and AA.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Lipps Siekkinen, whom he married November 16, 1951; six daughters, Debra Gruskiewicz of Williamsfield, Pamela Siekkinen of West Yarmouth, MA, Sheryl Gilmore of Kinsman, Barbara (Eddie) Papandrea of Madison, Jennifer (Dermott) Keady of Taunton, MA and Alison (Michael) Sweeney of Madison; eleven grandchildren, Susan, Tiffany, Justin, Jamie, Matthew, Benjamin, Jacob, Joshua, Olivia, Taylor and Jack; eight great-grandchildren, Dylan, Megan, Teagan, Colton, Austin, Darrin, Daniel and Andrew; a brother, Howard David Emil Siekkinen of Williamsfield; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant brothers and a son-in-law, Jon Gilmore.

The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for the excellent care that was given to Harold.

Visitation will be at Galloway Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford, Ohio 44424, on Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.

The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Pastors Bill Siekkinen, Lyle Lipps and Pat Seger Davis officiating.

Burial will be in Hayes Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Williamsfield United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 650, Williamsfield, Ohio 44093 in Harold’s name.
