Edward Alan Newton, 70, of Andover, formerly of Hartford, passed away Monday morning, March 11, 2024, at his home with family at his side.
He was born June 22, 1953 in Sharon, PA, the son of Richard and Dolores Mizner Newton.
He was a steel worker, working 30 years at Wheatland Tube.
Ed was a member of the Hartford Optimist Club and the Hartford Volunteer Fire Department, where he was a former fire chief.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Coller Newton, whom he married December 24, 1996; three daughters, Dawn (Jay) Hayes of Girard, Kimberly Newton of Sharpsville and Marissa (Tate) Ulm of Farmington, Illinois; two sons, Damien (Tina) Ward of Pocomoke, Maryland and Devyn (Jessica Yeager) Newton of Cortland; thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a brother, Daniel (Marylouise) Newton of Hartford.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Kathy Patton; an infant sister, Rebecca; an infant brother, Todd and a niece, Heather Smoot.
At his request, there will be no services for Ed.
