David T. Black, 68, of Kent, Washington, formerly of Hartford, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
He was born June 2, 1953 in Greenville, the son of Ted and Sylvia Hall Black.
David was a graduate of Badger High School and an electronics school in Akron.
He was a broadcast engineer at Fox KCPQ, channel 13, in Seattle. He retired in 2019.
David was a member of the Kirkland Family Church.
He loved to drive, which meant that he loved to travel. He was always taking pictures. He gladly helped all that needed help.
June 20, 1981, he married Claire Goodrich, who preceded him in death on March 2, 1992.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha Stanley Black, whom he married April 29, 1997; a daughter, Megan (Phil) Denman; two stepdaughters, Dava Dalentgoed and Dana Anderson; a son, Michael Black and a stepson, Damon Stanley, all of WA; his mother, Sylvia Black of Hartford; numerous stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Kim and Mark Black and a sister, Julia Love Miller.
Services were held at the Kirkland Family Church in Kirkland, WA.
