Harry V. Hardway
Harry V. Hardway, 88, of Cortland, passed away Saturday morning, September 15, 2018, at Cortland Health Center.
He was born July 8, 1930 in Grantsville, W.V., the son of Harley and Susie Parsons Hardway.
He retired in 1985 from Teamsters Local #377 as a truck driver for 30 years.
He attended the Hartford United Methodist Church. He enjoyed coon and deer hunting.
Harry is survived by his wife, Juanita Soles Hardway, whom he married August 2, 1950; three daughters, Barbara (Lyle) Burr of Kinsman, Mary (James) Johnston of Fowler and Donna (Dale) Steele of Fowler; a son, Keith (Denise) Hardway of Warren; eight grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; a granddaughter-in-law, London Steele, of Cortland; and two sisters, Beatrice Conner of TN and Mildred Bierworth of Fowler.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Steele, and a sister, Wavelen Greathouse.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given in his name to the Hartford United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 68, Hartford, Ohio 44424.
The funeral service will be on Monday, September 24, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hartford United Methodist Church, 6846 St. Rt. 305, Hartford.
Burial will be in Dugan Cemetery in Fowler.
