Edward K. Evans, Sr.
Edward “Ted” K. Evans, Sr., 91, of Fowler, passed away Monday morning, March 4, 2019, at Continuing Healthcare of Niles.
He was born December 21, 1927 in Sharon, the son of William and Maybelle Boyer Evans.
Edward was an Army veteran.
He retired from Packard Electric after working as an electrician for 28 years.
He was a member of the Brookfield United Methodist Church and the Cortland Masonic Lodge.
He enjoyed working on cars and tractors and just driving around.
On January 9, 2011, he was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Whitmore Evans, whom he married April 29, 1947.
He is survived by three daughters, Shirley (Robert) O’Brien of Brookfield, Betty Roberts of Mecca and Barbara (Eric) Von Gunten of Bath; two sons, Edward (Veronica) Evans, Jr. of Masury and Stanley (Shirley) Evans of Hartford; twelve grandchildren, DeAnna (Shawn) Durkin, Brian (Jennie) Evans, Jason (Elizabeth) Evans, Kelsey Evans, Jared Evans, Ryan (Kelly) Roberts, Rusty Roberts, Randy Roberts, Dawn (Todd) Underwood, Greg (Tonya) O’Brien, Amy (Matthew) Warnick and Ann (Larry) Bemer; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, a brother and a grandchild, Robert O’Brien, Jr.
Friends and relatives may call at Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 St. Rt. 7, Hartford on Thursday, March 7, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m.
The funeral service will be on Friday, March 8, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dick Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Dugan Cemetery.
