Bertha M. Clute, 79, of Kinsman, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018, at her home.

She was born November 16, 1938 in Pulaski Township, Pa., the daughter of Walter and Ollie May McPheron Rice.

Bertha was a 1956 graduate of Vernon High School.  Later serving as treasurer of the Vernon Alumni Association.

 She retired from Delphi-Packard as a mold operator after working 30 years.  She was also the first female bus driver for the Badger district.

Bertha was a member of the Vernon United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed playing cards and reading.

On November 10, 2014, Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Clute, whom she married July 20, 1957.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Ashley Clute of Braceville and Bryan Clute of Niles; a great-grandson, Keegan Cromley; and a sister, Dorothy Fields of Cortland.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Bryan Edward Clute, in 2006; a sister and two brothers.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the Kinsman Cemetery on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at 1:00 p.m.  Rev. MaryAnn Rufener will officiate the service.
