Joyce Ann French, 59, of Cortland, Mecca Township, passed away with family by her side Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital-Trumbull.
She was born July 29, 1964 in Sharon, the daughter of Lewis Glenn Davis and Virginia Berry Davis.
She graduated from Badger High School and spent her final working years at KraftMaid in Middlefield as a tow motor driver.
Joyce was a 4-H advisor for Midnight Riders. In her younger years, Joyce was an EMT and a member of the Hartford volunteer fire department. She was 1st runner up in the 1982 Hartford Apple Festival Queen’s contest and worked for the festival and community in many positions during the years.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 31 years, Eric French, whom she married May 24, 1992; a daughter, Ashley (Jeremy) Cromley of Boiling Springs, S.C.; a son, Bryan Clute of Niles; two grandchildren, Keegan Cromley of S.C. and Austin Troyer of AZ; and her siblings, Julie (Tim) Lindus of Burghill and Jim (Jodie) Davis of Masury.
Besides her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her siblings, Donna Messersmith and Bill Davis; and a grandson, Wesley Cromley.
At her request, cremation will take place. Private services will take place at a later date.
